They Made Up Their Minds...

and they started packing... Hmmm, I'm working on a move to Key West and this is the anniversary of Tony and I packing up, not telling our families where we were going, and moving to California (for the SECOND time). I love I totally forgot about that. I up and go so much that it doesn't even register. At least now I tell people. So that's progress I guess.

Something has come up in Austin though. Might be a rather big opportunity that I'd be stupid to walk away from. Sooooo, I may have to put a pin in KW --- for now. If I get my career on track, that WOULD be worth sticking around for.

  1. Went to see these guys at Waterloo Park this summer - good times.
The song was written by Fastball bassist Tony Scalzo after reading an article which described the disappearance of an older married couple who left home to attend the Pioneer Day festival at nearby Temple, TX, but never arrived.
They were later found dead at the bottom of a ravine in Hot Springs, AK.

DJ Gigi D'Agostine (sp?) does a bang up rendition of this tune on his album L'Amour Toujours. (Love,Always)
He is a little dated nowadays, but here is my favorite tune from that album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xcmE61EvTLc

  2. If I expanded on what happened on that venture, well really most ventures, it's a wonder he and I aren't dead at the bottom of a ravine.

Sometimes I miss that crazy bastard.
